About Me

I’m James, a personal trainer based at Arden Studio in Medway. I’ve spent over 10 years helping people get stronger, fitter, and more confident, but my coaching has never just been about workouts.

For me, training should improve the way you feel, move, and perform, without becoming complicated or overwhelming. I care about helping people build something that fits real life and actually lasts.

How i coach

My coaching is structured, practical, and personal. I combine strength and conditioning training with mobility, simple nutrition support, and clear accountability, so you always know what you are working on and why.

I want sessions to feel focused, supportive, and productive. I’ll challenge you when you need it, but the goal is always the same: to help you make steady progress in a way that feels achievable and sustainable.

My background in martial arts and calisthenics shaped the way I think about training. Good coaching is not just about hard work. It is about discipline, consistency, and play, building strength that carries over into real life.

That still shapes how I coach today. I want people to become stronger, fitter, and more capable, but in a way that feels purposeful, enjoyable, and built to last.

what shaped my approach

Outside the studio, I enjoy training myself, Hiking, paddle boarding, exploring the UK, and time with my family. I believe fitness should support life, not take it over.

That is a big part of my coaching philosophy too. Training should help you feel better, move better, and have more confidence in everyday life, not just inside the gym.
